353 – 567 AH
Gold & silver coins of the first four rulers were struck at Firrim in Tabaristan. Most of the later gold, from Shahriyar b. Qarin to the end of the dynasty was struck at Sariya (= Sari) in the same province, with some very rare issues known from Amul, Bistam and Shihmar. Most gold and silver coins of this dynasty are carelessly or weakly struck, often off-center, with mint and/or date off flan, as are contemporary Buwayhid dirhams for the 1st period, Seljuq dinars for the 2nd period.
