516 – 811 AH
Many of the large copper dirhams of this dynasty, as well as similar dirhams of the Zangids and Ayyubids, are found overstruck on earlier types. Silver coins of type #1831 & 1832 were struck at Dunaysir, #1834 & 1835 at Mardin, then at both Mardin & Amid during the 8 th/14th century and early 9th/15th. All copper coins were presumably struck at Mardin, though the mint name is frequently omitted, especially on the earlier issues.
